The large Indian movie industry is often jokingly referred to as
“Bollywood” since when those with an Indian-English accent pronounce
Hollywood it comes out “Bollywood.”

But those Indians dealing with Hollywood notice something about who
runs Hollywood. Since they are in India and are less fearful about
retaliation, they can talk about it.

This is the major reason our media is socially, politically and
philosophically skewed.

twentieth century, although there may have been some state and local
laws of which I'm not aware.

Jews were actually restricted from snobby hotels by a "Gentlemen's
Agreement," much as Gregory Peck's movie portrays it.

So, a Loews went into the hotel business, and competed rigorously.

The Hollywood movie industry "niche" is about developing the arts into
mass popular entertainments.

It's much about adaptivity.

There is no legal monopoly nor oligopoly about what Hollywood does.

People can make movies today everywhere they can get a relatively
cheap camera.

Movies are made throughout the world.

They risk their money.

reality was not like the utility industry was, which employed few
Jews.

EF seems sadly outdated, e.g. unaware of the 1988 book
"An empire of their own : how the Jews invented Hollywood"
by Neal Gabler (an American I believe.)

It probably was meant as a compliment. Indians hate Muslims, at least
those in Pakistan, even more than the Jews.
