Maybe it is not that they are to long but they address to many
subjects at once. I often post very long "screes" but they address or
respond to specific topics or issues. You might do better if, whatever
your post length, they focus and remain on topic. If they drift around
to much then the claim of "screeding" is sufficiently valid to warrent
such a conclusion.
