humane treatment and provide assistance to others; it is the doctrine that
people's duty is to promote human welfare.[1]
Humanitarianism is based on a view that all human beings deserve respect and

You know, I am in favor of humanitarianism myself, but if your looking
for an argument against it, here you go, see where it's weakness -
lies-.
Most of the harm in the world is done by good people, and not by
accident, lapse, or omission. It is the result of their deliberate
actions, long persevered in, which they hold to be motivated by high
ideals toward virtuous ends.

As do all 'isms, there is always cause and effect. One of the causes
of the need for much humanitarianism today, stems from the effect of
the earlier explorers, to 'civilize' the unknown cultures.
And the beat goes on......

My point entirely, except Im neither for nor against.
We each learn from being involved on both sides of the coin, befor we
can ultimately see the coin for what it is. A platform to self
awareness.

to "collective" thinking of the worst sort.

'Humanitarianism' is a word trying to corral many different behaviors
that occur for many different reasons into a -ism. It is more of a
practice than ideology.
