Could also be called 'post epiphany trauma'
This cannot be avoided, but the effect can be minimised.
One of the qualities that facilitates such insights is that of
humility, so when you actually recognise the reality of such insights,
the normal response is "if I can understand this, most others will be
able to do so".
The second big lesson, acting on this perception will evoke anything
from mild disagreement to outright hostility.
From 'thats interesting' (open minded type) to "what a load of crap".
The latter reaction is totally valid, even if the response can be
offensive, because exposing your experiences can be very invasive to
such people. They will invariably try to belittle. The reverse of the
above example "If I dont understand then how could you"?
People generally defend their perspective with great gusto.....even to
the extent of sacrificing their life, literally or figuratively.
Remember, honesty and openness are not synonymous.

Not wishing to be rude - but Brian Fletcher has an art form of saying many
words that mean absolutely nothing.
A marvellous man who speaks of what he knows and truth - and there is
absolutely no truth or knowing in any words he writes.
Oh we love Brian Fletcher (sarcasm).

Also, being victimized by perceived virtue.
Floating above the common ignorant herd and wanting to shower all with
pearls of profundity [virtue] yet this noble effort is met with only
scorn and, worse, disbelief or, worse still, indifference [victim]. This
is a fate most here must suffer.
Maybe another epiphany might be that everyone is 'up there' floating in
their own epiphany so to be truly rare is to be truly common.
I heard once that "reality of insights" means very little, reality of
action on the other hand...

Action without insight?
Has a ring of "the politician" to it.

Ironicially:
The teacher is driven to learn.
The student is driven to teach.
