I was doing some laundry today, isn't it satisfying to
iron or press a basket full of freshly aired linen
sometimes !
would that go under a heading of aesthetics?
well back to the cookery course...my cats really
taking pleasure with my interest there, do cats
take 'aesthetic' pleasures in cordon bleu ?

Yes, it is aesthetics if one considers ironed clothes to be prettier
than all rumpled up clothes.
I would say that cats do take pleasure in cordon bleu especially if
they eat it and you give it to them.

I have the feeling that if cats have an appreciation for aethetics, it is
way beyond what any human could understand.

Fuck no!. I can think of nothing more boring than slaving over a hot
iron.
Its a total waste of time. I try to snap the creases out of my shirts
by whipping them through the air before I put them out to dry, snaping
them over my head to crack down in front of me. It is usually plenty
as long as you have chose low iron shirts. The rest of the laundry can
stay creased.

Cats couldn't give a hoot about cordon bleu. If it smells like food,
it is edible. Dres it up fancy and it won't be noticed. Put the whole
thing in a bucket as for Mr. Creosote and the cat will eat it.

Ironing to me is like polishing glass, its dead dull
a real irritation if you're in a hurry but on sunny
days when glass sparkles when you can go out to check
the streaks on theother side of the window its a great
satisfaction to see the outside world like there was
no glass there. Crock washers are crap leaving smears
on stuff, ever been in a bar and given a glass at a bar
full of little bubbles stuck in patches inside the
glass and lip marks around the edge ? huh, horrible.
