I read Hammond's claim and it is worthless babble. Richard Dawkins has a
full page summary of his education and accomplishments in the Encyclopedia
Britannica. I appears Hammond is a nut case while Dawkins is a renowned
scientist.

Hammond has claimed that his discovery proves every major religion.
And while he hasn't said anything about Pastafarianism, we can show
that his SPOG "proves" the Flying Spaghetti Monster in much the same
way as it "proves" other religions:
The SPOG explains why the Flying Spaghetti Monster is said to be
"invisible" because the Flying Spaghetti Monster is the invisible part
of reality.
The SPOG shows that the "noodly appendage" which changes the results
scientists perceive is caused by a brain growth deficit, which distorts
their perception of reality by making things appear bigger and faster
than they really are.
The SPOG explains why one of the first creations of the Flying
Spaghetti Monster was a "midgit." In fact, we are all midgets because
no one has reached their full genotypic height.

I find it particularly amusing that for all of Hammonds vitriolic attacks on
atheists & scientists (particularly physicists), he uses "science" to try to
prove the very existence of something that actually relies on faith - i.e.
no proof required.
If he is so certain god exists, he wouldn't feel the need to prove it, but
merely believe it to be the truth.

Mr Hammond,
The unfulfilled potential of human brain growth is not "god", not by
any classical definition. There are a couple of metaphorical
similarities, but only a few. All of the science has no bearing on what
is, essentially a statement of metaphor.
God, whatever it is (and I'm an atheist so I think he's more of a
mythological idea), is not simply the gap between the brains that
exist, and the brains that could exist if we have perfect nutrition,
environmental conditions, etc.
Write it as fiction, not science, and change the name from "god" to
something else. You could maybe write some great science fiction, but
you haven't proven god's existence and you never will.
