The bastion of conservative thought, NPR, has published this obviously
bogus story.

Surely, the scientist behind this must be lying. Could it possible be
that the the entire world wont end with the melting of the glaciers
(in about 5 years).
Somebody call Al, I think we need another movie.

The article confirmed that the atmosphere was warming and sea levels
were rising from polar ice melting.

Are you referring to the "half inch" rise which is "a little bit of a
mystery. We can't account for..."?
You are of course also ignoring the pretzel they go into to try and
explain away the cooling of the oceans in the last few years which
runs counter to a prime AGW mantra of the "warming of the oceans" -
which warming was also supposed to have produced unusually high and
severe hurricane activity in the last couple of years.
All hoaxes face the same dilemma - the constant necessity of
explaining away...umm...inconvenient truths.

No "mystery" in the article ever contradicted global warming. The
half inch rise in sea levels proves polar ice is melting which
_confirms_ global warming.
In a complicated field such as biology or evolution or atmospheric
science, there will always be a few issues that are not fully
understood.
This doesn't mean no conclusions can ever be drawn.
Nutritionists openly admit they don't know everything about all the
chemicals in broccoli. Are you suggesting that since some of the
benefits broccoli are still a mystery, then nutritionists have been
discredited on their point of broccoli being a healthy food?

I think ur over reacting to what they were saying, isn't good that the
scientists are actually working of refining everything about AGW etc,
getting better data, and willing to publish it openly, even when things
appear to be opposite to the general "theory" of what's happening?
Why do you see that as something to ridicule or twist, as opposed to seeing
it for what it is. The agreement by all nations in the world almost to apply
resources to find out what the hell is going on, and what if anything to do
about it?
If the latest better research comes up and says ... sheesh, we got it wrong
here, or here, then I have no doubt that that science will be published,
just like every other piece of science that contradicts previous science
gets published.
What more do you want?
All the scientists working on the IPCC issue and methods to combat poluttion
and further climate changes to go drive a taxi, or become bankers? I just
don't understand this level of blind sidedness when it comes to the science
of AGW/CC for no rational reason except they just think it;s all BS, and all
the science is BS.
