After three years of nightmares, suffering, retching, and being
bullied, I've written a poem to summarize my feelings about Christian
faith. This is not about God, but who God might be. Perhaps it's a
description of Satan, who would overthrow God. Either way, it's not a
God I feel we should respect.
Every line has an intended meter. I hope you read it with an open mind
and share your thoughts.
GOD THE BULLY
My religion was ruined by pranks and punks
At the time I did not understand them fully
And although we give thanks to God our Father
We must also prepare for God the Bully.
This Bully made humans in the interest of pleasure
He made us with siblings and fathers and mothers
But woe to his sight as he had finished his plan
For he could not create one without creating all others.

Have you ever considered a much simpler alternative? One that actually
would explain the world as we observe it?
Perhaps there's nothing there at all.
Besides, since the universe swims right along just as it would if gods
did not exist, is it really important whether they do or not? You may
be putting yourself through the pain needlessly.

But competition must not be reduced to bullying.
In the philosophy of sport, competitive attitudes are divided into
good strife, which enhances the skill and enjoyment of all
competitors, and bad strife, which selfishly wrecks the skill and
enjoyment of a competitor in favor of one's own.
An example of good strife is to play football by the rules. An example
of bad strife is to stomp the piss out of someone and take his wallet.

Most people don't feel it's "good" if they lose.
There's a rather intimate relationship between Protestanism and
Capitalism. And, between Capitalism and Social Darwinism. And,
between Social Darwinism and Fascism.

Even an intimate relationship would not mean that one implied the
other.
Once consumers learn to avoid companies that use deceptive marketing
tactics, Capitalism will become less like Social Darwinism and more
like a mutual expression of kindness from one business to another.

Sorry, Capitalism is Greed motivated behavior. It's not nice.
Sometimes it's useful, but it's never nice.
