The women didnt cause it, they couldnt stop it, but it has discredited
the males in authority while it impoverished the men women formerly
depended on to support families.

MALE greed and stupidity is based on the notion that if a man can
exploit enuf others, he can afford a harem, and thereby have more of his
genes in the pool. Women, since they can only bear a small number of
kids, want a more sustainable system to make sure each kid she bears has
a decent chance.
Besides the Fall of Rome, there is the Byzantine model of shedding
unprofitable provinces to anarchy and barbarism while redirecting
critical resources to the great power centers. Where life goes on pretty
much like it always has.
So- while increasing numbers of 2nd and 3rd world economies collapse,
scientific research will go on in the developed cultures. Famine and
revolution elsewhere will reduce those populations. Byzantium also saw
that after a couple generations of chaos, anarchy, and warlords, with
the local populations decimated, those who survived welcomed the legions
back to restore order.
Women are taking power in many more governments and this is increasing
efforts to stabilize the populations and economy and moving away from
the draconian use of force and military conquest in favor of trying to
reach accommodations. As women take power they will cut the support to
religions based on the alpha male tyrant concept of god, and move away
to a more ambiguous concept with nature and the world seen as sacred and
not profane.
Alpha males need to dominate women. Beta males compliment women. Their
alliance will result in cooperation and technological solutionsl.
