This is a valid argument, though up to some point there has to be
assumed a "free lunch". For instance the sources of oil vary :
solar energy, primordial presence, etc. Then the sources of the fuel
battery materials also very. However, considering the direct
cost to human culture is mostly a physical science issue.
The same issues occur in nuclear power, even the portability
issues. The whole thing does need reconsideration, but the
bottom line at this time is the added flexibility in having a
working method added to our tools.
