European Socialism and its Massive Failure
For years Sweden, particularly, has been held up as some sort of model
for the welfare state. The "perfect" blend of socialism and
capitalism. The care for the family and he needy coupled with the
ability to perform and even excel on the world market.
Now I lived in Sweden, in fact I am a Swedish Citizen. The reality is
actually quite far from the myth. I will write more specifically about
Sweden at some point but for the time being I would like to write more
generally about the failure of what disenfranchised Americans believe
is the way to go.

That alone pretty much proves that Sweden is not a "massive
failure"--- especially not a massive failure.
This massively failed society, which is crippled by socialism, somehow
manages to build Volvo and Saab motor vehicles, and it manages to
build them in factories on its own soil. This massively failed
society also has one of the highest standards of living in the world,
and one of the highest average life expectancies in the world-- as
well as one of the lowest crime rates.

I've worked all over the South and I can say most fundies, at least
the poor in the rank and file, don't really oppose social welfare
programs.
Maybe the rank and file fundy opposes Europeans not forcing school
kids to kneel down and pray to Pat Robertson but this post isn't by a
rank and file fundy.
This post is by a bottom fishing GOP operative.
The GOP engine of despotism is simple:
Economic insecurity causes fundamentalism which votes Republican which
causes economic uncertainty which causes fundamentalism.
In fact, it's easy to eliminate fundamentalism in the U. S.
Introduce the European social welfare state.

And it shows.
Only 12%% of Americans even have a passport and the ignorance allows
the de facto despotism to rip 'em blind.
Average mean income is over $60/hour in the U. S.
Now I have a question and no matter how you answer, I'm going to agree
with you:
If you are making less than average income either you are dumber than
average or you are getting ripped off.
