Fascinating is it not how contemporary Hollywood now treats the idea of
mental illness as having some kind of family entertainment value to be
marketed?
Just consider those movies for a moment and see if you agree or disagree,
then ask yourself why?

1988. Rain Man
1993. Benny & Joon
1994. What's eating Gilbert Grape
1994. Forest Gump
1997. As good as it gets
1999. The other sister
2001. A beautiful mind
2003. Radio
2004. The Aviator

Oh, that's just part of the general Hollywood war, pandering to the
intellectually-slovenly masses, against intelligence.

You don't need a brain to be a good American and a Hollywood hero, see.
