Chance encounters
Moments on trains
Picking up a coin for an old lady "thank you dear" she says
and smiles
"What a lovely day" a man happens to say
And we wish to say that every day is a lovely day - that there is a day is
lovely and that every day is lovely in it's own way.
So we smile
"Indeed" we say
Everything goes so fast with jet planes and cars and fancy hats and shopping
bags.
And we walk timeless - naming flowers.
Words of endearment from strangers.
We are called sweetheart by a shop assistant.
The sound of a car horn as we are jolted out of our reverie
A rich bitch in a large car - impatient that someone has parked and she
cannot move her vehicle.
There is only one place they could be.
In the little shop.
But no she will not go in to find him - she sits there and sounds her horn
over and over - the loud ugly horn of the large expensive 4 by 4 - breaking
the eardrums and peace of all around as birds scatter into the skies.
We leap to avoid a little ant as we walk along the street
They have a subterranean world down there
A world that no humans know or share
We were very welcome there.
We watch the white lines in the skies
Borg ships disguised among the clouds
Trail racers the same as jets
Marking signs as they travel here and there with trails that turn to silver
in the moment - with clouds that turn to white - with the pastel passage of
painting and shadows of clouds as on the border we tell Lord Grenville that
the ships are here.
