I don't think the smoke and mirrors by which we perceive 'reality' is
deceitful rather than magical.
I see magic, you see misperception, catagory error, self deceit and
deceit. That last deceit is the one that intrigues me. It stands apart
from self-deceit so must come from a higher source than self.
It implies that there exists another solid layer/level of reality that
we are being deliberately kept away from.It also implies we are
somehow caught up in some kind of 'inferior' reality. It also implies
that you somehow feel that a higher being (God?) is deceiving us,
giving us second best, promising the eternal afterlife, but giving
nothing but permanent extinction.
Is this the hidden source of your anger towards your creator? Are you
a closet religionist SirF?
