Dog Philosophy :
There is more truth than poetry in some of the sayings :
The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead
of his tongue.
-Anonymous
Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you
are wonderful.
-Ann Landers
If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where
they went.
-Will Rogers
There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.
-Ben Williams
A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves
himself.

Cats are quite wonderful too, although they take longer to get to know and
often misunderstood. They have maternal instinct that is amazing and if you
get to know a group of them, their interaction is heartwarming. It is sad
that some people consider cats and dogs to be opposites and somehow in
competition or incompatible.

I have loved some cats as much as dogs,
though not as quickly and not as universally.

Cats are believed to have parasites which cause schizophrenia and
other mental disorders (two articles below).

Cat Parasite Linked to Schizophrenia
Dr. E. Fuller Torrey first suggested over a decade ago that parasites
and viruses are likely to be linked to the development schizophrenia.
New research further substantiates this link - with specific reference
to the Toxoplasma gondii parasite that is common to cats. This is an
important reason why women who may become pregnant should avoid
exposure to cats.
The study, as reported by Reuter's, stated:

ends, there remains still in the people a supreme power to remove or
alter the legislative, when they find the legislative act contrary to

http://www.cdc.gov/NCIDOD/dpd/parasites/toxoplasmosis/factsht_toxoplasmosis.htm#what
This is what the CDC (center for disease control in the US) says about this
parasite common to cats.
It recommends to avoid eating cat poop and to wash your hands when coming in
contact with gardens and other areas where cats might poop. The sites below
are laughable imo, but I do not know for sure.
One of the links says that cats might lead to massive changes in a culture
caused an increase in guilt.
