The reason is that we need to be so strongminded in social life, so
people need to carry around strong convictions, often based on anger
and determination. This is also reflected in the theoretical ideas they
have, they become very convinced that those ideas are the final truth.
It is an old religious cultural heritage, strong convictions, knowing
the final truth, gives social strength.

The discussion forums on internet gives people a chance to discuss
their ideas through the text medium, which is not disturbed by social
strength, only reason and good arguments count in these discussions.
This means that a lot of people discover that what sounded so
convincing in their own minds is not so convincing when you try to
write it down. And it may not stand up to the criticism of others who
have better arguments.
