People are more inclined to cooperate in Canada and Europe because
they are brought up with some sense of social responsibility -- the
social contract. This is why people in the United States have so much
difficulty understanding how socailized medicine and social services
in general can function without the profit incentive -- they don't
understand the concept of helping others as an end in itself
Women are living in a Harlequin Romance fantasyland fueled by the
media. It makes them easy to manipulate, and it makes them waste a
lot of time and money. I suppose that is what the media advertisors
have in mind.
