Death by Ignorance

Author: Sir Frederick
Date: Jun 24, 2008 15:02

Of course death is strictly from ignorance. It used to be
from principle, some kind of over arching requirement.
Today we at least have the nanotechnology of "life"
in view, and will soon manage our way out. If only we
weren't still so ignorant on that nanotechnology!

The present medical technology is simply ad hoc and
temporarily "good enough" or symptom treatment only.
The underlying nanotech causal processes are not
understood. Thus we die from ignorance. The
"cryogenic" and "silicon chip" solutions to preventing
death are not direct, though in interesting directions.

At present we are only up to the pet cloning stage of
nanotech life manipulation, thus at least our paradigms are
coming around. The situation is a kind of science
fiction story. All the imagination therein is worth considering.
