Cuba: Worker's Paradise Lost ll

Someone was recently yapping about the "choice" Cubans have made in
accepting communism's iron-fisted control of their lives. Others
babbled about the US embargo being the source of Cuba's plight.

This article from the LA Times makes clear what the real problems are.

There is a clear reversal here of the patterns of years past. Where
before the young were the vanguard of the left, taking to the streets
to demand more socialism, it is now the opposite. The young are the
vanguard of....Freedom, in Cuba as much as in most other places.

Whether these young Cubans can foster another "Orange Revolution",
toppling the authoritarian old guard by sheer force of will, or if a
bloody battle will be required remains to be seen.

Somehow I doubt that Sean Penn and the other disgusting left wing
Hollywood actors will be parading off to Cuba again as they did in the
past to lend their highly visible and well publicized support to
Castroite thuggery.
