Comfort

One thing humans do certainly know of is comfort.
It is amazing what humans can do to be comfortable.
In our world we do not eat - sleep - bathe and all these things as you do -
we have one function that does the lot. This is called regeneration. Here
we ingest nutrients into our life stream and old used product are removed
and placed on land for growth - thus no wastage. Our body is cleansed and
we enter different conscious state. Unlike humans we do not lose
consciousness when we rest or sleep as you call it - we have different
conscious state.
While on Earth we found cold to be a problem - naturally we arranged for
Earth to be warmer - many of you have noticed how much warmer it is these
days compared to bitter winters of youth.
To combat cold you have heater - radiator - various product to keep warm.
These are very nice.
One of main problems is that as we prefer window open and no heating - was
how cold bed was.
We chose what humans call "hot water bottle" and indeed this was nearly good
enough but not quite. Often we were still quite cold.
Recently we made vastly expensive purchase from human shop called "electric
blanket". This is one underneath us and not on top. ...

We cannot stand hot weather - we prefer cool weather but do not like very
cold weather either.
We had marvellous summer here - a lot of rain and very little sunshine.
It does get quite cold in winter - but not nearly as cold as it used to be.
When we left home at age 11 to live in institution we slept next to broken
window with only handkerchief to keep warm which is why we fear cold.
Thank you

The little bugs (germs) MUST reproduce (split) about every 20
minutes (part of it is called mitosis). Any increase in local temperature
will screw that up, and they both die. Fevers have a function.
My body cells don't have to do that since childhood times or as
sperm. Mammal gonads are outside the body to keep the sperm
production cool and less disturbed (including mutations).
Different conditions apply to virus.

"Life" is a constant battle.

But you once said your planet does not even have a Sun.
It must be extrememly cold where you are from!

When you know your sun is going to die you make compensation.
We have energy supply far in advance of you - underground heating - warmth
purveyors - and naturally we did adapt.
Our world of darkness ensures good eyesight - and we do have some light in
sky from plasma jets.
Our gravity is different - so we are bigger and stronger and taller than
you.
We do not spend much time on our Homeworld - preferring to travel. Remember
our ship is far larger than planet Earth. ...
