"If our country operates on the principal that nobody gets something
for nothing, it's worth a look to see which of the three remaining
candidates, Democrat Barack Obama, Republican John McCain, and
Democrat Hillary Clinton all stand in relation to campaign
contributions from the oil industry; Exon, Shell, Occidental, Global
Partners Ltd., ConocoPhillips, etc. The very corporations and
companies that may be or may not be manipulating the prices of oil to
line the pockets of their shareholders. The companies and corporations
traditionally associated, at least by Democrats, with big money, old
money, Texas money, smart money and Republicans.

Right.

Ask not who gives what to the individual, ask who gives what to the party
of that individual. Then ask if both parties are getting whats from the
same who!

It's a silly little game that the naive American people don't seem to
get (or don't want to get). All of the big transnationals cover their
bases by "contributing" to both parties, and politicians from both
sides of the aisle are basically auctioning themselves off to the
highest bidder.

I really have to start taking issue with this line of thinking and stick
up for the American people.

I believe they have "gotten it" for a very long time. There is a great
mistake that News (MSM) only 'reports'. What it has been doing for some
time is giving a false picture of how everyone (you do not know) thinks.
I really believe that the naivete is thinking that these America people
actually have the lawful political power to change the structure system
which we are talking about.

This is where things get ugly. This is when frustration vents via this
self-hatred, Americans are sheep, stupid .. whatever. This dirty
political choo-choo train should have stopped in Fla. 2000, then again in
Ohio 2004. Instead, there was a demand by the 'opposition' party and all
the press that things were normal and the true political will of America
was heard. This was and is a forced lie.

This doesn't jive with the overwhelming majority of my personal
experience. Nearly everyone I talk to is either:
