CO2, AGW & Energy, While Related, Need to Be Kept Somewhat Separated

One way to tell Prince Alpert has no sincere interest in solutions to
AGW is he never mentions any.

Another way is that while CO2, AGW and energy are all related, they
can to a certain extent be kept somewhat separated. For example, it
may be possible to reduce AGW while continuing to allow CO2 to
increase which by itself would not be nearly so catastrophic.

Priss Alpert hasn't done anything along these lines either.

The fat sanctimonious senator's son simply wants a vehicle, a
rationalization to burn up 100X more fuel than the average American.

Google. .10 seconds. 536,000 results. Here is one.

Gore, who hasn't ruled out a presidential run in 2008, laid out several
policy proposals for reducing global warming. They included:

_ An immediate freeze on carbon dioxide emissions. He said continued debates
on the matter represented "a delusional and reckless approach."

_ A retooling of U.S. auto giants to manufacture hybrid vehicles instead of
gas-guzzling trucks and SUVs. Such a transformation, Gore said, would save
thousands of jobs at the car companies.

_ A shift to a greater reliance on ethanol, wind and solar energy.

Well what is Gore waiting for?

He can start with himself.

This isn't like slavery where Jefferson had to consider the larger
society. Gore can do it unilaterally.

The claim was that Gore had proposed no solutions.

He has.

And that makes you a KKKonesrvative LIAR.

Then why is Gore still spewing out two orders of magnitude more CO2
than the average American?

Because the solution is to fly around the country getting people to
produce less CO2. Come on Bret, you understand the idea of net gain.
You have to plant the seeds before you can get the wheat.

You may not think it will work, but that has nothing to do with
whether it is a reasonable calculation or not.

Oh, probably because he employs dozens of people, and travels two orders
of magnitude more than the average AmeriKKKan.

I commend him on his efforts.

There are two parts to that concept: The "flying around" part and the
"getting people to produce less CO2" part.

Everyone will agree Gore has mastered the first part -- flying around
in private jets pumping out thousands of tons of CO2.

It's the second part that's questionable, the part where everyone
immediately stops using carbon fuels because a fat unaccomplished
sanctimonious hypocrite with zero personality and zero technological
or political solutions tells them to.

Gore will, of course, just blame people pumping out 1%% of his CO2 but
that will be as effective as his 2000 campaign where he campaigned
against Bill Clinton.
