He died shortly after he turned 30 or 31...and that was going on 75
years ago. (He was two meters and 72 tall, which is an inch short of
nine feet. I've only been fluent in metric and English measurements
since I was old enough to add two and two - that's the late 1950s, in
my case...in Oklahoma, no less.)
