It takes a rebellious nature to look beyond the pack mentality. When
you do, and make it known what you see, a new pack forms behind you,
no matter how many times you shout "You Are All Individuals".
That's why 'true masters" find you, you dont have to find them.
It takes "one" to know "one" takes on a whole new meaning from "the
days of old the school yard".

But you have to, or you go over the cliff with the rest of the lemmings.
The struggle to be includes the need to be different, and is necessary for
the furtherment of human evolution.
In one way of looking at it, anyway.

THE HEADMAN: LEADERSHIP, NOT POWER
To the extent that political leadership exists at all among band-and-
village societies, it is exercised by individuals called headmen.
These headmen, however, lack the power to compel others to obey their
orders. How can a leader be powerful and still lead?
The political power of genuine rulers depends on their ability to
expel or exterminate disobedient individuals and groups. When a
headman gives a command, however, he has no certain physical means of
punishing...

Point of interest. The idea that lemmings are wont to form in large
numbers and launch themselves off cliffs to commit suicide is a
complete fallacy invented my the Disney corporation to make an
exciting film.
When their numbers get to very large masses they do migrate together
en mass, but launching themselves off a cliff, even if true, would
only result in their swimming to another place as they frequently do.
