The number of augmentations has rissen since they were begun in
approximately 1950 (very bad direct-injection stuff, glass and plastic
balls, etc, all outlawed in about 1961), and silicone devices introduced in
1962 were outlawed in 1992.

HOW MANY millions, please.
Considering the period up to 1993/92 it apperas to be likely that there were
about 3 million total surgeries, and a total of 5.6 million total. The
silicone devices were tragic malpractices of medicine, technology and
research. The FDA sat on its hands for decates.
