Why? Why would it be "just" to punish finite sins committed by
finite, imperfect beings with everlasting punishment? What's "just"
about that?

There's *nothing* loving about the biblical god. The whole tale is
one of blood and guts, and is predicated on the ancient mid-eastern
notion that blood can be some kind of a "payment."

Well, I've read the bible, and it *does* claim that. However, it in
no way demonstrates that.
