What part of the UN charter restricts a government from acting to
protect its own security interests? I.E. What part of the UN charter
gave authority for US foreign policy and National defense to the UN?

pretty broad term which I assume you interpret to include

outs a CIA operative,

Just about everyone on the planet know the fallacy of this. First she
was not an operative, she was a former employee whose idenity was no
longer a state secret (by her own admission) Second a Clinton hold
over in the state department admitted he was the source for the
"outing"

ignores warrants for wiretaps,

By which you mean the FBI can use the same method approved for going
after the Mob to go after terrorist.

To my knowledge no Bush appointees have stuffed classified documents
down their pants in order to steal them (for whatever purpose). Keep
in mind that it is the Presidents prerogative to determine what
information is disseminated and what is not.

???? Really ???? Give one incident of an American citizen who was
"rounded up"/arrested without cause and in violation of his rights.

You mean the enemy combatants? Partially, I agree. Enemy combatants
that are caught out of uniform (for their respective countries should
be shot) after whatever usefull information can be obtained from
them. At least that was the policy used in all past wars.

what laws? Name one law the President has violated?

I'm sorry was it my imagination or did Congress grant the President
the authority to go to war (although this is not required for him to
conduct military actions).

War without end? Five years does not appear to me to be war without
end. Certainly many other military endeavors in history have taken
much longer. But more to the point, since our enemy still attempts to
fight us it seems we have little choice but to continue to defeat/
destroy them wherever we can find them. I admit the "nuke them all
the HE double hockey sticks" would have been a quicker approach, but
I'm guessing it is not really the speed of a successfull resolution of
the terrorist problem that most interests you. Just our defeat. Hey
wouldn't that make you the opposite of a friend.
