I dont pretend it is best for everyone, just the most effective tool to
destroy Christian or Muslim faith, which puts all of the rest of us at
risk.
In traditional use, whether the Heirophants from Eleusis or the witches
in practice today, there is a period of what we'd call 'psychological
evaluation' prior to ritual so that the cleric is confident they are
providing the proper dose. As in any other pharmaceutical, the power of
effects vary, and part of the problem with recreational drugs has been
is the unexpected results in the hands of amateurs.
Recently, I've been experimenting with LSA, a similar compound found in
Morning Glory seed. Which grows ubiquitously and obscurely, all over the
Eastern USA. There's been no attempt to try to control it, and give the
failure to control cannibis, I dont expect one. But it seems to have
some of the same spiritually enlightening effect. You can buy it online.
We grew some this year, and have enuf seed for commercial production
next year. Young people surfing find out about these, increasing numbers
try it, and decreasing numbers remain Christian. Young women in
particular are creating a schism in "wicca", reclaiming the worship of
the Great Earth Mother, but adding sacred potions and sacred sex to
ritual that others find outrageous.
