I get confused about those pesky auxiliary verbs myself. Let’s use
the Standard English dictionary – SHOULD: “Past tense of shall”; used
to express obligation or duty..

That "or" is bothersome. It insinuates a philosopher
can't/won't take them such. A philosopher worth his
salt would *have* to take ideas seriously. Goes with
the territory.

Which is why they search seriously.

There is a subtle difference beteen 'being' a philosophy, and 'doing'
philosophy.

I love music but I dont take it seriously.

Theres an opportunity to discect the term 'seriously' seriously, or
with levity.:-)
