What else could the conciousness do? There's always going to be the

The "higher" level brain centers turn the reports into deception.
The blame rests at the top of the chain of command. The "higher" level
brain centers need to remain in touch with the qualia's; the soldiers
of "reality" rather than to distort the signals into some crazy assed
deceptions after receiving the "honest" physical information.

Nothing will be a reality.
For now; something is a reality.
Hopefully; usually something is better than nothing.
Nothing is a zombie; unconcious.
Something is a devil; "free" will.
