Amish Darwinistically superior to "modern" society

Evolution is possible because of genetic mutations.
However it's fact that the overwhelming majority of mutations are
harmful to
its host.
Most mutations lead to a disease or "distortion" of sometype that
makes that
individual less "fit"...if it doesn't out right kill the individual.

Take, for instance, a mutation that causes a hole to form in the
individuals heart.
A harmful mutation obviously.

Modern technology/medicine has now enabled early detection of this
defect in a baby/fetus
and then repair it. That individual can then live a long life and
raise children....passing on that
harmful mutation.

Wrong. Most mutations are detected and destroyed by the body.
