Agreed environment and socialization is necessary. But- not sufficient.
There is also the issue of epigenetics which has only recently come up.
But in that case as well, the standard mantra of racial equality and its
proposed policy changes will not be sufficient.
I dont see the DNA markers for intelligence, but they are there for
aggression & addiction largely as a result of the inherited levels of
hormones like adrenalin, seratonin, testosterone, and dopamine, which in
turn are related to pathologies that impair education.
Related also is the report by Jared Diamond on the New Guinea
Highlanders. He writes of following a hunter into the forest and then
listening to the man draw on a truly encyclopedic database in his head
to expound for hours on the minutae of all the flora and fauna
encountered. When Diamond cannot remember all this, they think he is
retarded. Yet the same men cant handle simple algebra.
A geek would say their minds are all ROM with no math coprocessor. But
the modern world has writing to manage the data, and needs minds that
can handle linear logic. The minorities you are trying to prove are
'equal', have different kinds of brains. They need different kinds of
education, and even then, you are not going to make scientists out of
more than a very few.
But make stock clerks out of them, and in a short time at Wall Mart,
they'll be able to tell you where any given item of the 10,000 that they
carry is. Just dont ask them to do the books. Or program the computers
to do the books.
Who getsta define what 'intelligence' is? The transnationals. Dont argue
with me, argue with them. They know what they want.
Lastly, I was born on a farm in Minnesota in 1939. We fed the horses
oats cause we wanted strong smart horses. We fed the hogs corn cause we
wanted lots of bacon, and nobody wants a smart pig. If what I wanted was
stupid kids, I'd raise them on soulfood. We were raised on oats.
