Ok, define self as you understand it, even in cold, clinical terms, if you
like :)

lol - actually, yes. When I was back in Oz last, there was a National
Geographic special on Foxtel about the mind and brain. I saw something
exactly like that but never made the erotic connection that you just did.
Is that why you look at people differently now? It sort of brings a whole
new realism to the word "fuckhead".

re: so be it
In my tedious subjectivist perception:
Agnosticism is defensible, logical, non-dogmatic, non-demagogic & non-
cowardly thinking
However, If it's ever to my satisfaction "proven" wrong, de-bunked,
or mis-perceived, then I'd dump it.
Einstein is apparently somewhat of a "deist," b-t-w.

Well, dear, we were on the right track to a common, better understanding of
the self after all. You and I have unequivocal agreement on the self's
relationship to the brain :)
Enjoy, and really, many, many thanks for sticking with this. It's been
a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Why do you ignore the human brain need for meaning giving
stories and stories as beliefs? Logicalness is not at all a high
criteria. How things are, do not at all take your "satisfaction"
into account. Apparently you have an agenda to grind.

It would have been fun to have you around back in the old days
of spp, when real psychologists and grad students actually
engaged in cool discussions like this one.
