Even if I pretend to NOT notice the sarcasm of your statement that,
quote "God was created by man to explain what he did not
understand...." and take this statement seriously, still it does NOT
explain many facts which can only be explained by accepting the fact
that God does exist. To start with, there is NO excplanation to the
fact stated at the very beginning of this thread, namely that there is
a multitude of evidence for the existence of God, but there is no even
a single fact that would confirm the non-existence of God. Also there
is no scientific explanation to origins of the universe without the
use of the idea of God.

On the other hand, even if we assume that your statement is correct
and try to make a good use of it, then it also turns out that you just
write a joke which has no cover in events from the real life. For
example, how just by using the idea of God you explain such facts as
for example that the sea tide causes the sea to rize on the opposide
side of the planet Earth than the side which faces the Moon, or that
the sky is blue, or that the electromagnetic waves belong to the
category of transverse waves, etc., etc. The point that I am making
here is, that the introduction of the idea of God does NOT explain
anything about our universe at all, and we humans still need to find
scientific explanations for practically everything, plus additionally
to God Himself. So your sarcastic joke is untrue from the factual
point of view as well.

Anyway, although I know that you just tried to be funny, I am thankful
for raising this matter as it extremely well emphasizes the point
which I raised on a separate thread
http://groups.google.com/group/alt.religion/browse_thread/thread/d2327d9477eed94...#
in which I am trying to explain to people that even believers in God
still need to find scientific explainations to practically everything.

With the totaliztic salute,
