I remember years ago talking to a mathematician, who was really
offended when I informed him of Pythagorean mystery schools. I was not
surprised. He would also have thought that Bach just "tripped over"
his mathematical musical skill.
What intruiged me the most when I first investigated this field, not
being of the intellectual persuasion, (I was the top of the school in
geometry but didnt have a clue why, back then that is) why some
equally qualified intellects 'got it' and some didnt.
Of course, I ,as you, came from a background where intellectual levels
where the mark of status.
You can no more persuade people to understand this, let alone,to even
take a look, than you can persuade "Johnny one note", to be a musician.
(Fact is, he can be, but not if he's unwilling ).
