Mike,
You already know that there will be no evidence, there cannot be,
because there is none, nor ever will be.
You may be pleased to know that I am Unsubscribing from these supposed
philosophical discussions, which never seem to be able to discuss
anything but the impossibilty of some form of benevolent deity.
It was the Egyptans, beginning perhaps as far back as the first
dinasty, who showed an interest in the final destiny of the individual
having developed a belief in immortality. They wanted to believe that
there was more beyond this life. That it didn't finish here on earth
when they died. They came to believe eventually that there had to be an
essential condition for approval in such a place as they referred to
it ("The Here-After") and that was the living of an upright life here
on earth. The beginning of theology and interests in it were concerned
and connected at first with the destiny of the individual, but through
the course of time this evolved into an appreciation of the possibility
of a devine being overseeing the process, and finally, a sense of
communion with or personal closeness to such a being, which was
termed......! and I refuse to mention the title. It's mention every
day, in these philosophical groups and I for one am fed up to the teeth
with having it rammed down my throat. That is how religion evolved and
all the stories were derived from paganistic sources, including those
later written by the Hebrew Patriarchal Fathers, intricately entwined
with places and times to fit into their times and to give their people
who had been in capture by the Egyptians.
Need I go on! This so-called deity had its beginnings in the minds of
men and was principally at first invented to ease the way to the
here/after. Its been added to and developed into what it is today in
order to control at first and to instill fear and obediance, to some
codes of morality.
Good Bye and good luck, you need it.
Lawrey
