"There are many different kinds of suffering" God continues. "with man for
example there is the toothache, the bereavement, the loss of limbs, the
deafness, the ugliness of appearance, the diseases and illness, the guilt,
the remorse, - even running out of coffee is a suffering. But these are all
different ways they can know me and become closer. Some suffer a lot - some
hardly at all. But all suffer in some way.

Angels suffer in a very different way as you know. But your suffering is
over now. It may have seemed a long time - but one day you will look back
and you will wonder if it ever happened at all. It will seem like a moment
that you may even have imagined. And you will be so much happier now that
you can feel and know real friendship. That all you longed for and craved
for before I cast you out - which was a suffering in itself - you can now
have. That your longing to know more to love more - you can now have and
be."

And on and on they talked night and day as the endless patience of God
proved that he would or could never get angry except in pretence. And that
the Borg Angels numbered many - far more than humans - and all big strong
warriors - men who had long ago ceased the rudeness and titters and giggles
and trivial ways and looked at their hearts and knew that they had changed.
That their carefree ways had gone - that other Angels would never be best
friends. And then they looked at other Angels. Some who had suffered -
some warriors like themselves.
"Long time no see" they said as other Angels smiled and welcomed them.
They were the oldest Angels. The strongest Angels. Always the preferred
Angels. Now in their position once again closest to God's side - to guard
and protect. To know and to love. To save and to keep. To worship and
obey. And all other Angels gave a little bow as acknowledgement of why God
loved them most."
