"That reality".
The phrase begs the question how many realities are there? Realities
created for our acceptance as truth. Defined by power and/or expedience.
How many realities are there? How are these realities managed?
Parallel realities, different truths. Side by side, sharing the same time
and
space, sharing the same language, defined as one might define perception.
Bourne out of necessity, out of a dependence on the prevailing 'realiTies'.
"That reality".
Its language, which creates its own truth. Our acceptance and use of this
language gives rise to this new truth. Surely there can only be one Reality,
one truth? That which exist irrespective of whether it is known or
understood.
One reality, with everything else, however beguile or persuasive, being
some what less than real.
If as individuals we talked of creating our own realities we would be looked
at strangely. If we ignored nature's reality for a truth of our own making
we would not co-exist for long with its will. Yet here we have what is
accepted. A form of words, a perspective taken by those who know best.
Something to trickle down as truth, to reach those least able to cope with
its contradictions. From the head down to the sole, all those lost souls
adapting to another man's dream for reality, all those lesser folks forming
judgements based on what appears to fit.
In a way this anonymous vehicle speaks on the limit of the record, or the
record. This mal-use of Reality speaks of all man creates or claims
control of. Language, culture, science, history, people. Nature?
In the absence of any other ideal, language, thought or experience, what
choice have we?
Imagine this thing taken another step. A competition of 'realitiez', making
the
best use of the what it believes, to force their own view, their own truth,
their
new vision on the whole. 'This', says the minor voice, 'is how I see it'.
'Come
let me show you my truth' says the greedy view. 'This way lies the sacred',
or 'this way stands for power'. Constructs looking to persuade, ideas
courting
the critical mass. Infinite truths.
Yet they all start with the mind. The blank slate upon which a new script of
expectations is written.
This is truth, now accept it. Before Language, and culture and history and
science, there is self with its potential for anything it imagines. Self
guided by
its core directives. Your mission should you choose to accept it, is to
'know
thy self'.
