I saw the movie; but did not read the book.
It is perhaps the "worst," a most depressing/pessimistic take about
modernity;
and thus the "best" or most effective (& affective) movie art I've ever
encountered.
Try to get ahold of it, but it will be difficult to live-with for
days/weeks/years thereafter.
I don't think it's irrelevant/archaic/dated, but if ya think so, then
tell me why.
The hoody "mods (or whomever)" versus liberal indulgers of 1960s &
1970s vintage, before some of ye were fertized ova & DNA.
Burgess is apparently a conservative, a Tory--or what?
Hey, not all artists need be leftwingers & idealists in order to
produce nasty, worthwhile, awful, important, and influential
disgustingly moving work.
Take Ezra Pound...pleez, the nazi-luving momser (bastarde).

The actor who played the body guard of the "raped couple", later played the
personification of evil, being Darth Vader.
Must have been infectious , whereWilliams took over from Beethoven.

Now that's a nice peice of info. Interesting.
My sister criticizes me for liking that movie. "How dare you - such
violence!" "Yes, but sis, Kubrick makes apoint - if you take away
someone's capability for violence how does that person defend themself
against it?"
Kubrick had it all together. Strangelove, 2001. A true genius. And
there are many around. Linked by the web.
