Should we view our history as a list of occurrences since the
beginning of our time on the planet or should we have a much wider
perspective? Should we, for example, see ourselves as a very focused
form or configuration of matter and view our achievements accordingly?
Or should we view ourselves as a uniquely gifted species? If the
latter, should we inquire, or speculate, as to what this species might
eventually achieve? Should we speculate as to the fetch - to use a
nautical term - of the species?
If we choose any of the avenues mentioned above might we then go
further and ask whether our achievements to date constitute a fair
return on our potential or whether, indeed, we have gone considerably
off course and celebrated error to our own long-term cost?
Is it possible to draw up a dossier of what we should expect of the
human being? Is it possible to eliminate error, not the short-term
error of the moment but long-term structural illusion and confusion
about the nature of human existence?

We see the creation of the universe like this (except me)
VOID----SINGULARITY----PLURALITY
However, my claim is that a singularity, or one thing, is a member of a
plurality. So now we have the Big Bang looking like this
VOID----PLURALITY
However, a VOID does not announce a start, or an end. So our model of
the Big Bang now looks like this
PLURALITY
My conclusion is that the universe, modelled on the Big Bang, was not
created. Simply put, PlURALITY lies before us. Whether we want to call
one of the members of that plurality a "start" or a "beginning", and
other members of that plurality as an "end", is up to us. But at the end
of the day, neither start nor end are found in this plurality that lies
before us.

Everything about the drive train, critical dimensions, torques, etc.,
should be interchangeable with other vehicles in each class so that
drive trains can become mostly aftermarket.
Macs and PCs can use the same printers and monitors so why can't
automakers do the equivalent?
All the automakers need to do is put out a chassis, body, suspension,
some seats and maybe a drive shaft.
Letting automakers near an engine block plant is like letting an
addict near crack cocaine.

GUINEA’S JUNTA AS AN EXAMPLE OF CIVILIZATION’S FAILINGS:
There has been some debate as to whether the world community should
“talk” to Guinea’s junta, after its successful coup, taking over the
government of that nation. It is a strange debate.
We must keep in mind that what makes it a strange debate is that there
is no proper and legal mechanism to overcome and bring down from power
a truly corrupt and oppressive government.
We do not live in a world where civilization has advanced to the
extent that a people can prepare a case against a government, take it
to a world court, and have the leader or government, removed by the
world community, using legal means. That step in the advance of
civilization might chance to come, someday, but likely not very soon.
There are too many bad leaders and bad governments, which fear that
they too would be removed from power for their actions in regard to
violating their own people’s rights and the rights of other nations.
Yes, of course, other nations could ask for a removal from power, if a
leader in the community of nations, was overstepping peaceful bounds,
and violating their fundamental rights. An alternative to war...

What about God the guy who can warp your
mind so bad that even he can't unbend it?
Do you mean Him too? And where does
Dionysus fit in?

After the first ad, there doesn't appear to be further ads, unless
it's a glitch that has been repaired
And my profoundly shallow point is:
This is my version of reality, as I perceive (subjective) reality
when I see it harshly depicted on tv news when I need something else
harsh to get my mind off the depressing economy & more depressing
Madoff
Those morally opposed to capital punishment PERHAPS ought to consider
the reality of the ordinary criminal activity in which victims are at
the mercies of rational & crazed criminals
