Boeing Requests Immediate KC-X Tanker Briefing

In the meantime, Boeing has delivered a 767 tanker to Japan, so it's
not like they haven't had any sales of the type. I'm thinking that
there was a proposal to convert 767's for the Brits a few years ago as
well.

ST. LOUIS: The Boeing Company today made public a request for an
immediate debriefing from U.S. Air Force officials on the KC-X tanker
competition.

As of today, the company has yet to receive a briefing on why it was
not selected for the KC-X program, a decision the Air Force announced
February 29. The Air Force has indicated that the briefing would occur
on or after March 12, a delay the company says is inconsistent with
well-established procurement practices.
PirateJohn,

I really enjoyed the writeup and am becoming more convinced that a WL
is the way to go for a RV. Thanks for sharing. Oh, by the way, I
love the BMW motorcycles. I am a certified MSF Ridercoach and enjoy
the "ride" immensely.

:D
Thanks Thomas and Bob! Appreciate the compliments!

Thanks Gents, I'll take a look at those.

I did wind up ordering two boat interior ventilation fans from the
local West Marine yesterday. I settled on a pair of Caframo "Bora"
fans in black at $70 a pop. Will let you know how well they work out.

You 'bird looks good! I might "borrow" your idea for that grill.

I am planning to drop my headlights down to where they will be right
above the bumper. Obviously that will mean having new panels made to
cover the openings left by the existing headlights and repainting the
front of the bus a bit.

I've got a set of headlights similar to your Gillig units but am also
looking at a pair of surface mount lights from an axle-forward Mack
truck of a late 90's vintage. They would look like these:

Not a particularly traditional Bluebird look but I am thinking that
with suitable turn signals mounted low that it will give the old girl
a more modern "Euro bus" look as well as providing better lighting.
