Notice the odds of survival with pancreatic cancer.

~~~
Patrick Swayze has pancreatic cancerPosted: Thu Mar 06, 2008 3:39 pm
Doctor says actor, 55, responding well to treatment despite dire
reports
Patrick Swayze's doctor is "optimistic" about his prognosis for
battling pancreatic cancer, and the "Dirty Dancing" actor's upcoming
cable pilot is still in contention to become a series.
With the writer's strike over, the A&E pilot "The Beast," starring
Swayze as an unorthodox FBI agent, is being considered to be turned
into a series by the cable network. If that happens, the "Dirty
Dancing" and "Ghost" star hopes to continue to be part of the show,
his representative Annett Wolf told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Swayze has been undergoing treatment for the disease, Wolf confirmed
in a statement. The National Cancer Institute estimates there will be
37,680 new cases of pancreatic cancer in 2008 with 34,290 deaths in
the U.S.; *** only five percent of patients live more than five years
after being diagnosed. ***
Lumpy, John Gilmer is pretty much the scum of the earth but keep in mind that
there is nothing that you can do to him that is worse than what he does to
himself. Over and over he has taunted me and others... daring us to show up at
Deb's house where he lived. What is most amazing is that he even admitted that
one day a woman quite innocently walked toward Deb's garage and he immediately
called the police. The poor thing saw all the crap in Deb's garage and thought
they were having a garage sale. Now, here's the interesting part - John Gilmer
said that, after he called the cops, they sent out what he called a mini-SWAT
team. Now, you have to picture this. It couldn't have happened any other way:
4:06PM John Gilmer: "HELP! GAWD, PLEASE HELP ME!!!
4:06PM 911 Operator: "Sir, sir, what is wrong?"
4:07PM John Gilmer: "OH SHIT! SHE'S HERE... OH GAWD... PLEASE HELP ME...
Oh, I'd say this is a lot worse than anyone much less PJ has ever done
to hurt himself.
