That's right, too (sounds like you wish it was Sarah and John). He is
so obsessed with her that it's frightening and possibly criminal. He
took their private business to the newsgroups and has never stopped
seeing her everywhere, posting continually about her, sometimes posting
as her, and now he's hoping he's at last going to meet her. What a
let-down when Jose turns out to be the man he says he is and has always
been (and John can thank you for shattering his dream about Karen every
time he sees Jose's name or words). John doesn't care about Jose; he
won't even admit Jose is anybody but his "Karen". It's really kinda
sad, don't you think?

Hmmm....I do believe you just shot yourself in the foot, toots. If
Karen has no arms or hands, then she couldn't possibly be typing Jose's,
Lumpy's mine and all the rest of the nyms you claim she is. Right? So
who is typing them???? Hmmmmmmmmmmm???? If she has no legs, how can
she be doing all this traveling between WA, WI and FL?? Or taking the
pictures that Jose posted? Do you see how RIDICULOUS your logic is,
Sarah? Nobody is ever going to believe you anymore when you claim this
one and that one and somebody else are Karen. Are they?

Cute. She is very capable of "caring" for herself. And just to show
you my heart is in the right place, I will elaborate on what I already
have told you. I am a FRIEND of Karen's....but more than that, I am her
cousin's 3rd husband. We lived in California for about 10 years, but a
few years ago we moved to FL (Crystal River) but in summer we go to
Washington as I have a couple of old service buddies on Whidbey Island
and one at Anacortes. Of course, we spend some time with Karen but
she's quite busy in summer so we explore on our own...so much to see and
do in the Puget Sound area. We travel in a 5th-wheeler. Oh, she did
take us to view Mount Saint Helens a few weeks back. She'd been up
there 15 years ago so was curious to see how much recovery there had
been. It was beautiful and we had a great day all around.
Are you familiar with the Pacific NorthWest? Karen and my wife grew up
in northwestern Wisconsin and both lived in Milwaukee as young women. I
don't suppose you know Wisconsin, either. My wife has three brothers
back in WI so we go there for awhile in summer, also. Karen went back
two years ago for a big class reunion which she did the promotion and
publicity for. It was a huge success with 73%% of the class in
attendance. Lasted all weekend. We were parked at a mutual cousin's
new home and the brothers drove up and Karen stayed there during the
reunion. Pictures and laughs and lots of old memories. She is a great
and talented gal.
It's too bad for you that you don't know Karen and will only believe
Gilmer's self-serving lies about her. You are very naive to swallow his
tales; they are so obviously made up. But I wonder if you are really
any different than he is.
Don't you find it odd that Gilmer now admits he wrote to her for two
years? If she was all the bad crap that he now claims, what was his
ongoing attraction to her and why did he even want to meet her? Why is
he still obsessed with her? He can have any woman he wants. Why can't
he get over Karen? She despises him and regrets ever confiding a thing
to him, regrets trusting him or reluctantly agreeing to meet him. She
wants nothing to do with him, his email is blocked, she wouldn't talk to
him on the phone, won't accept his mail via the post office. But yet he
persists. I am convinced he is very dangerous.
