I'm here on a beautiful and sunny day tinkering on the 'bird ...
installing new LED tail lights, adding another tower unit to our
computer center (two tower units, laptop with docking station, Sony
microcomputer that isn't much bigger than an organizer, Deb's new pen-
tablet HP, and my old Fujitsu pen-tablet all on a wired and wireless
network connected to the 'net with an EVDO card, most of which is
contained within a modified/custom desk that folds up for traveling),
and installing a new Sirius radio (grrrrrrr ... a multi-beer
discussion there) and I am thinking about what REALLY pisses Karen and
her nyms off the most.
When they see me post and they know that I am having a helluva good
time. That drives her crazy.
Now, I know that she watches my posts at ADVRider pretty carefully,
along with my posts at BuffettWorld.
But she doesn't have more than a minor clue about the other places
that I post at.

Wow. Very impressive. I'd live to have a similar set up, PJ.
Last night the local Radio Shack Mgr. had her new Mac Book Pro laptop
in the RS store and she was showing me all the bells and whistles.
Pricey but very definitely on my short list for my next laptop. :)

Neat!
Don't even know where to start here. The technology is changing
quickly and it's now possible for someone to travel and still stay in
touch, at least in the USA (Mexico is coming online but cheap mobile
Internet access is still a bit of an issue, thank you Carlos Slim).
When I wrote and laid out my book I was keeping three computers
humming all at the same time because of the load of formatting a
document that large, organizing 3 meg. photo files, and writing it as
I went along. I suspect that I will self-publish again soon and so I
am set up to do that.
Apple has done a helluva job. Not totally my style, but maybe someday
I will try one again. They certainly are stylish and everyone that
uses one loves them.
