Sheesh! Where'd everybody go?

Me and the Princess went to Old Town in Kissimmee, Florida yesterday. They had
a great little fish and chip shop there. Hell, the whole time I was there the
customers were all speaking with British accents. I finally asked one of the
customers if any native born Americans eat here.
The owner claimed that Haddock (what he used) was better for fish and chips than
Cod. I don't know about that but the Haddock he had was damned good. The chips
were cut from fresh spuds which is always a pleasure to eat. The Boddington's
wasn't all that bad either...

On the way back we spotted a pub at the intersection of HWY 27 and I-4 which was
called The Pub. What a novel name for a pub... It claimed it was an
English-Scottish-Irish-Scottish pub. I guess they didn't want to offend anybody
- or they wanted to snatch all the folks they could driving by... I had one
more Boddington's. The bartender was nice enough to give us a British newspaper
to take home. We continued on south and stopped into our favorite Italian
restaurant, La Belle Torre, in Lake Wales but it had closed. What a shame...
