My guess is a catfight, starting with potshots from Alexa. Various UFO
and weird science kooks have tried to make nice with her, including
Charles Bohne, who made passes at her, and she's rejected them all.
Note that she's the most notorious UFO/weird science kook who has been
crossposted into alt.astronomy who hasn't joined Captain Nightbat's
Spaced-Out Science Officer Corps. There is a reason for that, and it's
not because fr00tbat and his minions wouldn't have her if she could
behave.
