"Torrential rain and heavy winds have caused havoc in the New York area,
flooding subway and overground railway lines and delaying flights.
Trees were uprooted, smashing into cars and blocking streets, roofs were
torn off houses and power cuts reported.

The storms led to tornado and flash flood warnings, but gave way later to
hot, humid weather.

Many workers stayed at home"

It's like the third world there, little wooden houses and poorly maintained
infrastructure.

I didn't stay home, I went out and finished a deck job. That's what men do.
