"Strummin' With The Devil" - 726 sold

I knew it would be bad, but not this bad.
Wow, what an embarrassment.

All of the national TV exposure. plus Roth pimpin' it on his radio show
every day.
Remember Conan O'Brien, The View, Jay Leno (Jay couldn't even keep a
straight face), The Late, Late Show (the host would later say his
gaydar was going off during Roth's performance), etc. All the extra PR
by releasing it on "Devil Day" (6/6/06).
Even heavily promoting it in Nashville (CMT, newspapers, etc.).
Dave said is was going to be "big".

LOL

Lets see 2 songs with Roth = 6,954

11 songs with Sammy = 16,000

So that means 11 songs with Roth would = 38,247

Baaa waaaa

I hate being in full panic mode!

Mommy!

Hagar's last album (Livin' It Up) sold 16,000+ in it's first week (it
even made the Billboard Top 50).

"Strummin' With The Devil" sold 1,700+ in it's first week (or should we
say weak).

Roth thought he was creating "greatness" with Strummin' With The Devil.

LOL

=====

"I started our rehearsal off by saying, 'Gentlemen, your uncanny
abilities combined with my Christ-like humility is how we will
accomplish greatness. Now, somebody count to four.'"

"Who doesn't like the sound of a mandolin?" David Lee Roth says. "Who
doesn't like a well-played acoustic guitar?"

LOL. Hulk Hogan's daughter sold more than that in her first week.
>(it even made the Billboard Top 50).

And dropped 100 spots in one week. "Strummin With The Devil" probably
did well compared to other bluegrass tribute albums. But it doesn't
matter. It's not even Dave's album.

Not bad for an indie label release billed as "various" performers.

I doubt even 10,000 copies were even made.

Why do you think it charted on an indie website???

LOL

And what defines greatness?

Album sales?
