Although I certainly wouldn't consider Steve Perry to be a "Heavy Metal"
vocalist, I would consider him to be amongst the greatest male vocalists in
the history of the music business. Whether you ever liked Journey's music or
not, it's a fact that Mr. Perry could sing extremely well. I know of no
other male vocalist that I have heard people say as many complimentary
things about in regards to their singing skills. Lots and lots of people
say, "The guy that used to sing for Journey had an amazing voice!!! I just
loved to hear him sing."
