Paul Stanley and Geddy Lee should not be ahead of DLR IMHO.

Going over the list even further, I see a lot more discrepancies: Gene
Simmons higher than Ian Gillian, Steven Tyler before Freddie Mercury,
etc., let alone what the DLR/Sam factions will have to say (if
anything).

For me, this list ain't anywhere near accurate.

It's not accurate or inaccurate, it's subjective.
Everybody's list would be different.
My personal list would look a lot different.
Kiss fans think Paul Stanley should be higher, AC/DC fans think Brian
Johnson should be higher, etc., etc.

This just happens to be a national magazine, so it will receive a lot
more exposure than any of our humble lists :)

Hagar ranked higher than Roth gets the collective Rothian panties in a
bunch. They don't even think he merits a spot in the Top 100.

Priceless.

As long as they mentioned that in the article then I'm cool with that.

Indeed, but I don't put any more faith in it than anyone else's list.
Hit Parader isn't exactly my magazine of choice.

Ah, so it's a jab at hardcore Roth fans. Well, no worries, I'm sure
they'll either jump down your throat or ignore it completely. There'll
be no in between. While I'm certainly of the opinion that Sam has a
better voice and loved the Hagar era, DLR's VH is the stronger of the
two IMHO. If they're just measuring it by vocal ability (ability to hit
certain notes, how long the singer can sustain a tone and whatnot) then
Hagar should be higher. But then again, to be accurate Freddy Mercury
and Ian GIllian would be higher than Dave AND Sam, too.
> Priceless.

If that's how you get your kicks. Have at it.

That's why we're here, this isn't "rocket surgery" :)

Don't take these "Best Of" lists so seriously.
They're good topics (in that they often get a good debate going).
The list has been very slow lately.

It's been a good couple months for Hagar. His recent sold-out concert
is shown nationwide (in prime time) and he gets some props in a
national magazine. No big deal.

Anyone who thinks that Roth and/or Sam belong on a HEAVY METAL vocalist
list needs to have their brain checked. Neither one of them are heavy
metal singers.

I can't say it's why I'm here. I like to talk about VH, not taunt
people with this crap. But if that's your thing, have at it.

Yes, the debate is flowing like mud now.

No, actually. I didn't need someone to tell me that, lol.

I guess that's option "c", then, isn't it?

I'd rather not.

I remember posting that.
Of course, you remember it as well. I was responding to *your* post
(back when you still posted under "Chuck"). Impressive, that was over 2
years ago. Do my words keep you up at night?

LOL

I still stand by it.
If I was ranking my Top 100 "God's Gift To Music", Hagar wouldn't make
the cut.
